Folkdance costumes continue to be very popular. Order yours for girls/women or boys/men.

They are an answer to the expensive bunads for those who do not wish to invest a lot of money.

Orders for folkdance costumes usually take 3-4 weeks after order is received.

NOTE: Please don't expect to obtain a bunad "off the rack". It takes from 3-6 months to make

most bunads(even when we hurry!).

New Wool

Black and red quality wool are becoming harder to find. We have purchased several bolts to store because of this. It appears that there is less call for wool and more for the synthetic blends many of which are made in China. We will not use the China material due to its poor quality.

Hardanger Breastplates & Belts

We are now making beaded breastplates with the smaller, No.11 frosted beads. It still takes 5000 beads for each plate but they are really eye catching and much more "flashy" in appearance. The costs are the same. It takes about 6 weeks to make a breast plate after your order is received.

If there is a need for kits we would like to hear from you. A kit would contain everything you need to make the plate including the finishing. We can supply both beaded and cross-stitch kits.

We now have cross stitch breast plates as well as cross stitch belts. They are very nice and look spectacular. We can match the patterns for both breast plate and belt to each other.

We are working on beaded belts(about 1 5/8" wide) using No. 11 beads. They are beautiful, however, they are expensive-average 5000 beads-US$9.50/inch (expl. 28"length @ $9.50/in is US$266)
